Multiple Regression

Data was collected to see if overall absences in high school and a student’s SAT score were good predictors of their overall mean exam grade in in college.

Use the data below to compute a multiple regression analysis. As in lab 4 you must include the overall R2 and statistic for the Multiple Regression, the individual predictors’ statistic, and the overall % that the predictors contribute to the Mean Exam Grade.

Epidemiological Study of a Disease

Epidemiological Study of a Disease;Zika, Westnile virus, HIV/AIDS, obesity, HINI

Choose a population of people effected (children, youth or adults) by the disease.

  1. Trace the epidemiological history of the infection from conception (1st diagnosable case through present), ex: Zika, Westnile virus, HIV/AIDS, obesity, HINI, etc).
  2. Address the Indicators and Spread of the disease
  3. Address Epidemiological Statistics
  4.  Address Programming and Public Health Response
  5. Write a conclusion from a current and future perspective as it relates to the disease ( i.e.. stability/ control of spread, knowledge of disease process, need for research or better treatment)

Provide a well researched paper on the various diseases.

Piketty’s Demographic transition theory
Piketty’s Demographic transition theory

Piketty’s Demographic transition theory

This research looks at the work of Thomas Piketty, the author of “Capital in the Twenty-First Century”.

This paper should present the logical implications behind the conclusion of Piketty’s theory of the shift in the Demographic transition where children may be a thing of the past.

This research draws upon mostly primary sources including books and articles. Most prior research on Piketty’s theory focuses on his evidence to how he came to this conclusion.

This focus agrees with his theory and even goes deeper into confirming some of his thoughts and beliefs. Lastly this paper should answer the question of “Whether or not, if not having anymore children is good or a bad thing”.

Provide answers for these answers on your Statistics, Psychology paper

Is there a difference in pass rates on the NCLEX comparing ADN programs to BSN programs in Texas? The student found the data for the most recent year published by the State Board of Nursing and utilized a t-test to analyze the data.

Is there a significant difference in divorce rates comparing Democratic states to Republican states? The student had to come up with an operational definition for Democrat and Republican states. Did they use who the governor was? Did they use who they selected for president in the last election? They then analyzed the data using a t-test.

Is there a relationship between DUI arrest rates and jail time for first offenders? The student found the minimum jail time for a first DUI offense for each state and the arrest rates for DUI for each state and analyzed the data using a correlation.

Kawasaki disease SOAP note Paper

Kawasaki disease
Kawasaki disease

Kawasaki disease

SOAP note, Kawasaki disease.

1) Identifying Data (5 pts):

The opening list of the note. It contains age, sex, race, marital status, etc. The patient complaint should be given in quotes. If the patient has more than one complaint, each complaint should be listed separately (1, 2, etc.) and each addressed in the subjective and under the appropriate number.

2) Subjective Data (30 pts.):

This is the historical part of the note. It contains the following:

a) Symptom analysis/HPI(Location, quality , quantity or severity, timing, setting, factors that make it better or worse, and associate manifestations.(10pts).
b) Review of systems of associated systems, reporting all pertinent positives and negatives (10pts).
c) Any PMH, family hx, social hx, allergies, medications related to the complaint/problem (10pts). If more than one chief complaint, each should be written u in this manner.

3) Objective Data(25 pt.):

Vital signs need to be present. Height and Weight should be included where appropriate.

a) Appropriate systems are examined, listed in the note and consistent with those identified in 2b.(10pts).
b) Pertinent positives and negatives must be documented for each relevant system.
c) Any abnormalities must be fully described. Measure and record sizes of things (likes moles, scars). Avoid using “ok”, “clear”, “within normal limits”, positive/ negative, and normal/abnormal to describe things. (5pts).

4) Assessment (10 pts.):

Diagnoses should be clearly listed and worded appropriately.

5) Plan (15 pts.):

Be sure to include any teaching, health maintenance and counseling along with the pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures. If you have more than one diagnosis, it is helpful to have this section divided into separate numbered sections.

6) Subjective/ Objective, Assessment and Management and Consistent (10pts.):

Does the note support the appropriate differential diagnosis process? Is there evidence that you know what systems and what symptoms go with which complaints? The assessment/diagnoses should be consistent with the subjective section and then the assessment and plan. The management should be consistent with the assessment/ diagnoses identified.

7) Clarity of the Write-up(10 pts.):

Is it literate, organized and complete.

Population/Urbanization/Social changes

With the current Population/Urbanization/Social changes, do you think that the world is threatened by a “population explosion?”

World population is currently growing by over 80 million people each year, and is projected to exceed six billion people by around the year 2000. Human numbers are expected to increase by around 80 million people annually for roughly the next 30 years, leading to a global population in 2030 of over 8.5 billion. This level of increase and of total population are unprecedented in human history, and create challenges to the environment and the quality of human life previously unimagined.

According to the Population Reference Bureau, in 1991, there were about 5.4 billion people in the world. The global birth to death rate was 27/9, meaning that for every person that dies, three more babies are born. From 1990 to 1991, the population increased by 95 million people, and now has continued to grow at that rate. This may appear to be no danger, but if one were to think of it as a pond doubling its amount of lily pads for 40 days, they’d see it differently.

Hypothesis testing Assignment help

Hypothesis testing
Hypothesis testing

Hypothesis testing

Describe the 8 steps in the process for hypothesis testing. Explain the decision criteria for rejecting the null hypothesis for both the p-value method and the critical value method.

Answer and Explanation:

The remaining problems refer to the following scenario:

A claim is made that the average salary for all jobs in Minnesota is less than $75,000. You are going to test the claim using α=0.05 and assume that your data is normally distributed and the population standard deviation (σ) is not known.
Write the null and alternative hypotheses symbolically and identify which hypothesis is the claim. Then identify if the test is left-tailed, right-tailed, or two-tailed and explain why.

Answer and Explanation:

  1. Identify and explain which test statistic you will use for your hypothesis test: z or t? Find the value of the test statistic.
    Answer and Explanation:
  2. What is the critical value? Describe the rejection region.

Answer and Explanation:

  1. What is the null hypothesis?
  2. Explain. After making your decision, restate it in non-technical terms and make a conclusion about the original claim.

Answer and Explanation:

  1. Calculate the p-value for this hypothesis test, and state the hypothesis conclusion based on the p-value.
  2. Does this match your results from the critical value method?
